Malden 375

Created to celebrate Malden's 375th anniversary, this vibrant mural captures the city's energy, diversity, and strong sense of community. Featuring scenes of everyday life including families, children at play, the bike path, and community gardens, it highlights the places and people that make Malden unique. Colorful intersecting lines, inspired by Malden-born artist Frank Stella, represent the Orange Line, commuter rail, and river paths while symbolizing the many cultures that cross paths in the city. There are some notable Malden landmarks such as the B & M railroad station , Malden Public Library, Converse Rubber factory etc. Set against Pine Banks' iconic trees and accented with stars honoring Malden's Converse legacy, the mural embodies Malden's motto: "Strong Past. Proud Future."
